On Trial // White Wash Laboratories

I am not scared of many things, but one thing I am absolutely terrified of (and I’m sure I’m not alone) is the dentist. Ever since I can remember, I have put off going to the dentist. I used to lock my Mum’s car keys in the house to ensure we wouldn’t be able to get there, and every time I did have to go, I would be flooding the ground with tears. I don’t know where this fear came from, and to some it’s seen as irrational, but I just can’t explain it. With this fear comes terrible teeth; I have had so many teeth out and most of them have been filled, and at the age of 25, I know that is terrible. As I have gotten older I now wish I had looked after my teeth more as a kid, because I’ve kissed goodbye to healthy, white teeth. I avoided the dentist for 10 years before my last trip this year, which I am so so ashamed of. I finally plucked up the courage to book an appointment, and thankfully all I needed was one filling and a bloody good clean - I definitely was very lucky in this case and totally shocked. I managed to get through the filling without too many tears and felt proud of myself for making a start at conquering my fear. Now all I needed what white teeth. As a smoker, I know I am never going to get the bright white smile I dream of, but I know I can do everything I can, using all products available, to slightly improve the shade of my teeth. I don’t think my teeth have ever been that naturally white anyway.

So after my recent trip to the dentist I decided to give White Wash Laboratories a go, using its Nano Daily Whitening Kit...

This consisted of a whitening Toothbrush, Dental Floss, Toothpaste and Mouth Wash. What I was surprised about was the order in which these products are advised to be used. With these products you’re meant to floss, wash and then brush your teeth, which - I admit - took a bit of getting used to, but in a way, it makes a whole ton of sense. I’m not a massive fan of the taste of these products, I have to be honest, but then again, I am totally fussy when it comes to teeth products. I have been using these products for a good month now and I have really enjoyed using them. Because I am absolutely hopeless, some days I forgot to floss or use the mouthwash, but I’d say I stuck to the routine 80% of the time. I think it’s really hard to notice a difference when you’re looking at yourself, but I have had some comments on my teeth looking whiter, which is always nice. I’m now going to replace the whitening Toothbrush (It says it is made from whitening bristles to remove stains…) with an electric one (dentist’s orders) but I am definitely going to carry on with the rest of it - especially the toothpaste.

I really liked the toothpaste actually; it’s been developed by UK dentists, which Is good to know, and contains a multi-active whitening complex with advanced Enamel Care Technology to help whiten and remineralise teeth. A unique combination of special micro-polishers remove surface stains, while the Enamel Care Technology helps to repair the teeth, reduce sensitivity and also to create a radiant sheen on teeth - just what I need. The floss is also pretty good and is apparently an expanding floss to remove 40% more plaque compared to other flosses - quite interesting actually.

It's really hard to see a difference as the pictures were taken in completely different lights, but I'm going to persevere with it all for sure!
