The Winter Make-up Bag Edit

I really wanted to compile a dedicated AW16 beauty edit, but I realised I was incredibly indecisive and couldn’t narrow down my favourites out of a HUGE pile of beauty greatness. Therefore, I decided to give you a peek into some of the bits in my current make-up bag for December (minus blush and bronzer, ‘cus apparently I forgot about those). If anyone is wondering though... I have been using the bareMinerals Royal Court Palette (seen here).

The only thing I haven’t really switched up in my foundation, because quite frankly, Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation is doing my skin wonders right now; so fresh, but not too dewy. Even in the winter, I don’t wish to look too flat so stick to a matte powder over the top instead of having a matte foundation too. I’ve especially been loving the NYX stay matte but not flat powder for this as it removes shine subtly where I need it and sets make-up well without completely drying out my face - no lizard skin here!

Concealer is also my jam; I love concealer. Again, the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer is my ultimate love, but I have also been enjoying using the Nude by Nature Perfecting Concealer for under my eyes.

For eyes, Makeup Geek has basically provided me with the winter eye wardrobe, how did I only discover them this year? Definitely need more. The formulas are incred and so pigmented, which I love. The shades I am loving are Bitten, Grandstand and Curtain Call, which compliment the Coloured Raine shadow in Downtown. Coloured Raine is another new brand for me, and on first impressions, it’s bloomin’ awesome! Will definitely have to experiment more with the brand in 2017. Glo & Ray has been providing the perfect eye base though, especially this Glo & Ray Mirage Mousse Eye Shadow in Maroon Earth. Mascara wise, I have been sticking to a holy grail of mine, the Fairydrops Mascara (absolutely banging if you haven’t tried). I have recently been getting back into eyeliner too, and obvs Kat Von D is my main gal in that department with her Tattoo Liner. I want to get this liner in brown too!

Lips have vamped up a notch with darker hues, including the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Sad Girl, which is a deep metallic hue (seen on me here). Obvs being Christmas, you can’t dismiss a classic red lip, and Smashbox has had my back in that department with its Legendary Cream Lipstick.

What's in your current make-up bag?
