NYE Make-up Look // #GetReadyWithRimmel

I am not one to really celebrate New Year’s Eve, but there is one thing I love doing, and that is my make-up. I must confess I have been known to do my make-up all appropriate for an evening, but instead stay home with a plate of cheese and a large G&T watching the tele. I think that is the prime plan this year, and for this particular make-up look, I turned to my pals at Rimmel London for their trusty products that can take you from day to night quicker than you can eat your large portion of camembert. Yes, really.

I wouldn’t say this look is extravagant. There’s no glitter, but I think it serves its purpose. The Magnif’Eyes Eye Contouring Eyeshadow Palette was central to the look, and offers a number of different shades to suit individual tastes. I played it safe for me and went for the plummier shades as opposed to the greys (I just cannot master them myself). These shadows are longlasting and easy to blend, suitable for all eyeshadow novices like myself and deliver a hint of shimmer.

The Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara is one I have tried and loved before, as is the Scandaleyes Bold Liquid Liner. Super black and capable of creating both neutral and dramatic looks. I’ve pictured two lipsticks, which are chosen dependent on which eye look you go for. Because I went quite heavy on the eyes, I kept the lips nude, and this Kate 15 Year Lipstick was perfect for what I wanted to achieve. The darker The Only 1 Matte Lipstick shade would look nicer with a slightly subtler eye, or possibly if you went for a grey smoke. Overall, Rimmel London have impressed me again with its offering and it proves that you can do a good evening look on the cheap. Winner winner, make-up addicts’ dinner.
