Time to Party // ibis Lates London

A few weeks ago I attended an exclusive event at ibis London City to celebrate its new Ibis Lates Gig Series in partnership with the Roundhouse. The event I went to marked the first of a series of ibis Lates sessions taking place in ibis Hotels throughout the UK, and I was invited by the babes at Talented Talkers, which was super lovely and I met so many fantastic vloggers, bloggers and new pals.

We got to indulge in live music from artists such as Estee Blu, Jay Johnson and Soma, as well as an amazing late night DJ set from Nikita Chauhan, which saw us boogie on down until the early hours. My night was made when she played my requested tune - Eve, Who’s That Girl - which prompted many, rather embarrassing, Instagram stories! The free drinks were flowing, and I’m not ashamed to say I got absolutely sloshed and dragged my pal Jodie onto the dance floor. We had the BEST time; it was a really well thought out night and we didn’t stop drinking and dancing until we were suitably ending the night in the ladies loos fully immersed in a number of DMCs (deep meaning convos obvs!). I think the latter is a sign of a good alcohol-fuelled night with good friends, for sure!

After the music drew to a close, we headed upstairs where we both had our own hotel rooms! This was my first stay in a hotel in a long time and I must say, considering ibis is a budget hotel, the rooms were awesome. Those beds though!! SOOOO comfy. There were even biscuits and chocolates in the room, which let’s be honest, is the way to my heart.

I woke up the next morning very worse for wear, which is always a sign of a good night. Sadly I had to head to work in this state, but not before taking a shower in the very large shower in my room and feeding my hangover with the treat that is an ibis hotel breakie. I’m talking a full blown buffet offering hot fried food (yes please!) continental healthier options (with this hangover? nah!) and a plethora of juices and smoothies. I must admit I felt so rotten I had to take the pastries with me to work, but nevertheless, I was well fed.

Guests across the UK will have a chance to enjoy the new initiative as ibis Lates will be touring to ibis Hotels in Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.

Thank you so much for Jodie’s pal Marie who was there on hand with her camera, aren’t the photos of me and Jodes gorge? Love that girl.

*this hotel stay was complimentary but all opinions are honest and my own*
