Make-up Look // Sleek MakeUP Whimsical Wonderland Collection

If you haven't already gathered, I am kind of (most definitely) obsessed with colourful make-up lately so when my pal Kirsty from Fashion For Lunch sent me some of the new products from the Sleek MakeUP Whimsical Wonderland Collection*, I was overjoyed. The range features a selection of pastel and bright hues that are more than perfect for summer - even if we don't get much sun. I decided to create my own sunshine with a summery pastel look using some of the standouts in the range. Let me just say, any collection with a purple lipstick within it, I am sold…

The centrepiece of the collection is definitely the Sleek MakeUP i-Divine eyeshadow palette in All the Fun of the Fair (£7.99), which is sooooo lustworthy and colorful. I haven't used Sleek eyeshadows in a long time as I must confess, I am more drawn to the brand's lipstick and highlighter offering, but I happily dived in. I was expecting these shadows to be really pigmented; however they're subtler than I thought. I also believed this would be a bad thing, but actually I like the subtleness of them as it's more of a natural wash of colour - more wearable as opposed to if they were brighter. The 12 shadows are really soft and blend well, which also makes them buildable. I created a watercolour pastel blend on my eyes, and the shimmery colours really caught the light. I especially love the peach and green hues, and although I am not a huge fan of yellow, the shadow was so pale that it was great as a base shadow.

My favourite product from this line-up is very predictable of me: the Lip VIP Lipstick in Big Shot, an amazing lavender shade that it is bright, yet wearable. I really love the LIP VIP Lipstick (£5.50) formula; I have built up quite the collection. The demi-matte formula is creamy and soft without having the tendency to bleed – I know, I’m winning! The other two shades are equally as fun: Fancy Pants (peach) and Hot Tottie (pink). In my look below I applied Fancy Pants and then Big Shot in the middle for a customised shade.

I was also particularly impressed with the Sweet Cheeks Blush (£5.99), a long-lasting gel, water-based blush that is really refreshing on the skin. The colour is sheer but not at all watery like I was expecting. Although this looks really vibrant, it appears really natural on the skin. This can definitely be built up for more of an intense look, though. I have the shade Tom Foolery, which is a gorgeous berry tone.

What do you think, do you love brighter looks this season? What takes your fancy?
