Monthly Beauty Favourites // April

Oh haiiii, it's that time of the month again! No, not that kind of time of the month, the beauty kind ;) April has been a good month for trying new things, especially because it was also my birthday. This month I had a lot of make-up and skincare to narrow done, but these are the bits that have really stood out in terms of what I keep using day-to-day. Non beauty wise - and if you follow me on snapchat (jemlouiseee if you're interested) you'll know this - I have been absolutely obsessed with the Eurythmics. Maybe it's because we went to Reflex for my birthday celebrations, but 'who's that girl' is so my jam right now. Obsessssssssed. Anyway onto what y'all here to see...

April beauty favourites
001: theBalm Nude'tude Eyeshadow Palette (£27) - my lovely friend Hannah bought me this for my birthday after I had been eyeing it up for, pretty much, the whole year. It's a gorgeous palette with a selection of browns, pinks and golds - one of the best selections for every day looks. The shadows in this aren't the most pigmented out of the palettes I own, but they blend really nicely and can be built up for more pigment. I have been especially enjoying using the pinker shades of 'stubborn' and 'stand offish' with 'sultry'.

002: ARK Skincare Skinessential pro remove pre cleanse (£30)* - I have been using this cleansing oil every night since I got it. I think it's genius that a brand has introduced a pre cleanser to help simplify double cleansing. This quite literally melts off my make-up ready for the second cleanse. The formula is also really lovely and not at all greasy like some oils can be. My skin feels really soft even after this, and even better after the second cleanse.

003: ARK Skincare Age Protect Skin Clear Cleanser (£24)* - I have been using this gel cleanser as my second cleanse and it's super refreshing. This product has helped clear up some of the skin concerns I have been experiencing lately, especially spots, but also brightening my skin. I spoke about this and the pre cleanse in this previous skincare post.

004: KIKO Desert Dunes Trio Baked Blush in Lust Coral (£16.90)*  - Again, I have raved about this before, but it really has been my 'go to' blush of choice lately. It blends so nicely onto my skin and provides such a glow as well as colour. It's the perfect match for my skintone and I absolutely adore the baked formula!

005: Rosie for Autograph Lipstick in Silk Rose (£14)* - The formula of these lipsticks are so creamy and easy to apply that I find myself reaching for them most days. You know when you have a lipstick that requires minimal effort - AKA no mirror? That. Silk Rose is a beautiful - almost tarnished- rose shade that goes with so many make-up looks (I can be seen wearing it here).

006: Too Faced Hangover Primer (£27)* - oh my gosh, nothing makes my foundation look as good as when I use this. Super glowy (but not disco ball level) and hydrating. I think this has been in a favourites post before, but I have been using it every day this month and I am going to have to repurchase soon. Not only that, but it smells incred and definitely brightens dull, lacklustre skin!

Also another non beauty fav? These super cute IKEA Cactus - I know, what a cliche I am. What have you been loving this month?
