LIFESTYLE // Personalised Pizza Class with I Just Love It

A couple of weeks ago I attended a really great lifestyle bloggers event hosted by personalised gifting company I Just Love It, where not only did I get to meet lots of lovely bloggers, but I also got to make my very own personalised pizza (see bottom of the post for how cool it was!). Held at La Cucina Caldesi, an open-plan, Italian-style kitchen in London's Marylebone, we were taught how to make a pizza from scratch from head chef Steffano Borella, and were tasked to 'get creative'. In keeping with my blog name, I decided to make a flower design. I also decided to prepare the base of my pizza in the traditional way: kneading with my knuckles in the air. Yup, you can imagine the laughter that came with doing so. I thought I did pretty well though, despite a tiny little hole - I am clearly quite heavy handed, but hey, I just wanted to get it done so I could eat it. Let's not pretend here, eating is the best bit, right? There is nothing better than a pizza you've made yourself and the smell of baking pizza in the room could have transported me to Italy; it was so much fun.

The team at I Just Love It were super lovely and showed us all that the website had to offer (including the amazing LED circus style lights) - I do love a personalised item I must say, especially pencils with my blog name on them. The company offers so many products, some of which I received in my personalised goody bag (how sweet that they did this for all of us). I especially love that I now have my very own pizza plate, maybe that will push me into making my own pizzas more... maybe.

It was so lovely to meet Lauren from Britton Loves as I have been following her blog for years and it was great to catch up with Kim! You can see the concentration on my face while watching Lauren and trying to copy her. It was such a great experience and there were so many toppings to choose from. I decided to go for a tomato base with mushrooms, peppers and spicy sausage with a bit of garlic, basil and parmesan to garnish.

The products we received included: Personalised Rustic Pizza Plate; Personalised Name Cushion Cover; 12 Personalised Boxed Pencils; Personalised Silver Plated Vintage Teaspoon; Cocktail-Inspired Candle and Great British Chocolate Fish & Chips (such a cute ideal for those chocolate lovers out there).

My very own tasting spoon, what an adorable idea! I have someone in my life that would love one of these, so it may be something I will purchase when her birthday comes around. The smell of this candle is also heavenly, and you know how much I love a good scented candle. A LOT.
