SKINCARE: NIP+FAB Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads

As a sufferer of dry skin, I am all for chemically exfoliating. I have recently run out of my Alpha H Liquid Gold, and before I make the Pixi Glow Tonic purchase, I thought I would give these NIP+FAB Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads* a whirl.

Not only are these super easy to use (no faff of pouring liquid onto multiple cotton pads), but they are rather effective too. The Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads combine a selection of key ingredients which had me hooked at the first read of the description: glycol acid, which is said to retexture and resurface; hyaluronic acid, a holy grail ingredient in the skincare market, which moisturises and refreshes; and blue daisy to soothe and calm the skin. Now, I have never heard of blue daisy and I don't find these pads particularly calming, I don't think that's the right word, but I wouldn't ever expect an acid-based product to be so, so I'm not that fussed. I do, however, find that they exfoliate my skin efficiently without that horrible stripped feeling: my skin feels smooth, hydrated, retextured, and well prepped for the following steps in my skincare routine, as well as considerably brighter. I don't use these all the time, only every other day or two when my skin's dryness is building up in patches. I also really relish the fact that they don't dry out. I have had mine for a while now and they're still moist (don't all cringe at that word, there's no other way to describe it).

  1. These sound lovely for dry skin which I'm currently having trouble with, I'll hav eto pick these up next time I see an offer in Boots. At the moment I'm using Clarins Gentle Exfliating Toner and it's just amazing, exfoliates but in such a gentle way (maybe worth looking into when you finish these :D) x

  2. These sounds perfect! I have dry, sensitive skin and sometimes the usual scrubs are just too damn harsh!
