I first tried this foundation when I went to the Tarte UK launch with QVC and I fell in love with it as soon as the make-up artist's brush swiped my face. It's no secret that I adore full coverage foundation, my skin is just too red, blotchy and pigmented to use sheer liquids, but it doesn't mean my complexion looks any less natural. I opt for the fuller coverage with a natural finish and tend to buff into the skin rather than applying it as a thick layer. The Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Foundation is something I finally got around to buying recently. Thankfully, my housemate took a trip to Canada and kindly bought it back for me, but it is still quite reasonably priced on QVC as it comes with the accompanying brush. The foundation also comprises 50ml of product, which is great when most higher end foundations are only 30ml. I picked up the Ivory shade, which is designed for pale skin with pink undertones. The formula is quite thick, yet still creamy and covers extremely well, lasting a pretty long stretch - albeit a few concealer touch-ups towards the end of the day. The only thing I will say about this is if you suffer from really bad dry skin, it can be prone to cling due to its matte, powdery finish. My skin is on the dryer side a lot of the time so when I have flare ups of dry patches I don't always opt for this one; however if the skin is well prepped and primed, it provides a rather beautiful sheen on the skin that isn't at all cakey, and is extremely blendable despite setting quickly. Has this foundation taken your fancy?

  3. Seems to have a yellow undertone in your pictures, even though it claims to be for pink undertone skin. Thanks. I needed to see that.
