NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

I am a huge NARS advocate. I don't know what I would do if the Sheer Glow foundation and Radiant Creamy Concealer hadn't been created. It took me a long time to find my perfect base, and those two products are a match made in heaven, and the perfert pairing for what I want from my base *because you know i'm all about that base, 'bout that base...*.

When the press release for the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation* popped into my inbox, I was super excited. I've been using this for a few weeks now, however I was initially wearing it in a shade that was too dark for my skin, so the lovely NARS PR girls popped me over the correct shade to try out instead. First things first, it has a pump (woohooo!), which if you're a lover of Sheer Glow, will know how annoying it is to have to purchase the pump separately. The formula is oil-free and delivers natural looking coverage that is said to last 16 hours. I am not sure about that specific duration, but I am pleased to say it takes me from work to events quite nicely (I usually have to re-do my face if going out after work, but with this I don't even have to conceal much more).

This really does provide full coverage without feeling weighty like some heavier foundations do. The foundation is ideal for all skin types and tones and is available in 20 shades: I have Mont Blanc, which is the second lightest and it blends so well. The foundation contains Even Tone Technology, which is said to immediately neutralise any redness, dullness and discolouration to improve skin's appearance over time - I definitely find it neutralising, which is great for someone like me with pigmentation and redness issues. The only thing I will say about this, that although it does provide that slightly luminous look - as apposed to completely matte - it does have a tendency to cling to dryer patches, therefore exfoliating and using a moisturising primer beforehand has become a must for me, and I never use a powder on top. You'll be able to get your hands on this little base wonder, priced at £33, from 1 February nationwide.
